We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to operate Pjot’s ZenTools (the “Software”) and the PjotsZen Hub. This Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.
- We collect minimal account data (name, email) when you register.
- We keep lightweight diagnostics and entitlement logs to provide updates and verify licenses.
- Payments, if any, are processed by third-party providers; we never see your full card data.
- Under GDPR, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and portability.
Account data
- Name & email (required for registration and entitlement checks).
- License flags (e.g., commercial seat, marketing opt‑in).
Usage & diagnostics
- Basic telemetry from the Hub (e.g., version, update checks, success/failure codes).
- Crash/error logs submitted by the user or generated by the Hub to improve stability.
Device & technical
- IP address and general location (derived, not precise) for security and rate limiting.
- Environment info (OS, Maya version, time zone) to troubleshoot compatibility.
Payment information
- Processed by our payment partners. We receive transaction references/status but not your full card details.
- To create and manage your account, verify email, and enforce entitlements.
- To deliver updates, security patches, and product communications.
- To troubleshoot and improve performance and reliability.
- For payments, licensing, and fraud prevention.
- With your consent, to send optional marketing/news updates (opt‑in only).
- Contract: to provide the Software and related services you request.
- Legitimate interests: product security, update delivery, and service improvement.
- Consent: optional marketing emails.
- Legal obligation: records we must retain for tax/accounting.
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Typical retention:
- Account & entitlement data: while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deactivation for fraud prevention and audit.
- Telemetry/logs: short‑term rolling windows unless required for security investigations.
- Payment records: as required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors who help us run the Software, for example:
- Email delivery (transactional and opt‑in marketing).
- Payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Crash/diagnostic tooling (if enabled).
All processors are bound by contracts that require GDPR‑compliant handling of personal data.
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
